The Applied Technology course taught at Blanchest High School is a program designed to introduce Freshmen and Sophomores to the different courses available at Great Oaks Institute of Technology and Career Development. The course covers the following areas: Robotics, DVD Productions,CNC lathe, 3D Modeling, Computer Animation, Digital Photography, Fluid Powqer, and Plastics. Many other technology areas are covered. Students construct such things as bridges, mouse trap cars, planes, and tooth pick towers. Residential Construction is covered and the students construct a two bedroom house out of balsa wood. Motors, motor controls systems and residential electricity are also covered.
Please take a moment to think about our sons and daughters and our brothers and sisters in the military. Even though some may not like that what they are doing we should all remember that they are doing it for us. We must send our love to them and pray that they all come home safely.
