The Applied Technology course taught at Blanchester High School is a program designed to introduce Freshmen and Sophomores to the different courses available at Great Oaks Institute of Technology and Career Development. The course covers the following areas: Robotics, DVD Productions, CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, 3D Modeling, Computer Animation, Digital Photography, Fluid Power, and Plastics. Many other technology areas are covered. Students construct such things as bridges, mouse trap cars, planes, and tooth pick towers. Residential Construction is covered and the students construct a two bedroom house out of balsa wood. Motors, motor controls systems and residential electricity is also covered.
The 2007/2008 school year is almost over. The summer will give me more time to work on the web site. Stop back oftne and check out the improvements. More infomation on Blanchester and more on what I will be doing next school year.
